Hair Loss, what's normal?
Hair growth phases
We have about 150,000 scalp hairs which grow at various rates. There are three phases for each individual hair:
1. Growing phase;
2. Resting phase and
3. Transition phase where the individual hair ceases to grow and eventually falls out.
As much as 20% of our hair may be in the resting phase which can last up to four months. Normal hair loss is between 50 and 100 hairs each day and after a few weeks hair will regrow from most of the follicles. Factors such as nutrition, stress, hormones and family history influence hair growth, hair regrowth and the condition of your hair.

New Hair Growth
The loss of essential nutrients to the hair follicles can cause increased hair loss, hair growth slows and individual hairs become thinner and stop growing. In this state the follicles become inactive and hair will not grow. By feeding the follicles with the essential nutrients, by way of the bloodstream, in a capsule, hair loss can be reduced and new hair may grow.
